Frequently asked questions
How much loan can I get against my gold?
Under RBI rules in force from April 2026, the maximum loan-to-value is 85% for loans up to ₹2.5 lakh, 80% for loans between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹5 lakh, and 75% above ₹5 lakh. So ₹2 lakh worth of gold can fetch up to about ₹1.7 lakh. Lenders can offer less than these limits.
Do gold loans have EMIs?
Many gold loans offer bullet repayment (interest and principal at the end) or interest-only monthly payments. EMI plans are also common. This calculator models the EMI option.
