How is EMI calculated?
EMI = P × r × (1 + r)ⁿ / ((1 + r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan amount, r the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n the number of months. Each EMI pays that month's interest first; the rest reduces your principal.
Are these calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator is free with no sign-up. Create an account only if you want to sync saved calculations across devices.
Can I see how prepayments change my loan?
Yes. Add one-time or recurring part-payments in the EMI calculator and see the interest saved, the months cut and your new loan-free date, for both 'reduce tenure' and 'reduce EMI'.
Do you store my financial data?
No. Calculations run entirely in your browser. If you save a calculation while signed out it stays in your browser's local storage; signed-in saves are stored privately in your account.
Can I download the amortization schedule?
Yes. Export a branded PDF report, an Excel workbook (summary, yearly and monthly sheets) or a CSV, or share a link that reopens your exact calculation.
